1891 – 1918
Son of John and Emma (Wiedenhoeft) Grossman; born May 29, 1891, at Huntington, Indiana. Graduated from Green School of Pharmacy, Indianapolis, Indiana. Occupation: Druggist. Service entered on October 5, 1917 at Huntington, Indiana. Sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky. Transferred to Camp Shelby, Mississippi; assigned to Headquarters Company, 139th Field Artillery. While enroute for France he contracted pneumonia and died October 15, 1918. Body returned to U.S. and buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Huntington, Indiana. Died at age 27 years, 4 months, 18 days.
