Mason, W. E. (Everett), 77, of Markle died unexpectedly of a possible heart attack at 6:40 p. m. Monday at Cooper Rest Home, where he had been a resident the past three months. He had been in failing health the past three years. Born Jan. 8, 1900 in Grant County, he was a son of Jonas and Lily Roberts Mason. His marriage to Tressie Creviston, who survives, took place Dec. 24, 1922 in Rock Creek Twp., Huntington County. Surviving, in addition to the wife and son, are four other sons, Arnold of Sacramento, Calif., Kyle of Markle, Paul of Crookson Hills, Okla., and Oliver of Frankfort, Ky.; a brother , Chester LeRoy Mason, and a sister, Mrs. Roscoe (Bessie) McCreary, both of Kokomo, 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Calling is from 7 to 9 p. m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday at the Myers Funeral Home in Markle. Services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Buckeye Christian Church with Rev. Robert Daley officiating. Burial will be in the Sparks Cemetery in Wells County. (January 31, 1977)
